The
ultimate 'goal' of environmentally friendly engines has resulted in
a growing demand for smaller, compact,
lightweight marine diesels and has led Thornycroft to develop a
new family of small 2, 3 and 4 cylinder water-cooled marine diesel
engines especially suited to the needs of the canal and riverways of
Europe. These are known as the KAIZEN range
of Inlanders, and are based on the newly developed MITSUBISHI
'L', 'SL' and 'SQ' diesel engines, offering maximum efficiency,
cleaner exhaust emissions and low noise levels. With 8 new models
from 10hp to 70hp, and suitable for steel narrowboats from 25- 70ft.
The KAIZEN range commands serious attention, and offers the owner
operator excellent value for money.
